Craig Wolson is an attorney and expert witness who specializes in structured finance, derivatives, and securitization matters. His over 35 years of experience includes cash, synthetic and hybrid collateralized debt obligations (CDOs),asset-backed securities (ABS) of various types, structured investment vehicles (SIVs), collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), mortgage-backed securities (MBS), credit default swaps (CDS), interest rate swaps, credit-linked notes (CLNs), repurchase (“repo”) agreements and securities fraud.
As a transactional attorney Mr. Wolson has been an Associate, Special Counsel or Partner at several of the leading transactional law firms in the United States, including Shearman & Sterling; Mayer, Brown & Platt; and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. As an expert witness and/or consultant, Mr. Wolson has worked with many of the leading litigation firms, and leading litigation departments of full-service firms, in the country, including Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd (formerly Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins); Labaton Sucharow; Chapman and Cutler; and Williams & Connolly. From 2004-08 Mr. Wolson served as Chairman of the Structured Finance Committee of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Wolson has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer by Law and Politics Magazine. In 2010 he was added to the American Arbitration Association’s roster of arbitrators; Mr. Wolson was asked to do so specifically because of his expertise in structured finance, securities and derivatives matters. Mr. Wolson has been included for many years in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in Finance and Business.
